EXTRA 330SC Unlimited Aerobatic Aircraft

For 2009, Mike Goulian will perform in his new Castrol Aviator Extra 330SC, the world’s newest custom-built premiere aerobatic aircraft. You may not be able to tell the difference between this aircraft and his previous Extra, as it has the same paint job and sponsor logos - but Michael can tell you that “this is the best airplane I have ever owned”.

EXTRA 330SC: Mike Goulian's Air Show Performance Aircraft

Produced by Extra Aircraft of Europe, the 330SC is lighter, faster and more maneuverable than any other aircraft of this type. The main difference between the 330SC and Michael’s former air show aircraft, the 300SHP, is its wing design. The new wing and increased maneuverability gives Michael’s aircraft an even faster roll rate and gives Michael the ability to take his air show performance to an even higher level of extreme aerobatics. The Extra tumbles and rotates at awe inspiring rates in almost any attitude, which gives world class pilot Michael Goulian the freedom to use his imagination to create a show to leave the fans wanting more!

Michael’s new Extra comes with a new Hartzell composite propeller. Nicknamed the “Claw”, due to its pulling power, the Hartzell propeller is the prop of choice for many aerobatic pilots.

Michael’s Air Show Performance

The Performance is a dazzling, tumbling, display of modern aerobatic maneuvers punctuated by the edgy, hard, and aggressive style of flying that have become Michael’s signature.

In fact, Michael’s style is so original that many of his loyal fans would know that it was Michael flying, even if he was not in his famous green and white Castrol Aviator Extra. With over twenty years of focused competition and training, there are few flyers in the world that can captivate an airshow audience like Michael Goulian. When watching Michael perform, it ‘s obvious that he puts every last piece of his being into his performance which leaves him exhausted upon completion.

As Michael says, “the fans come to see the limits of man and machine displayed in the form of an intense aerial display flown by me, and I want to never let them down”. The most challenging and physically punishing “out of control” gyroscopic maneuvers are the show’s foundation. In fact, Michael performs some of the most wild and complex tumbles that have not been duplicated by any other airshow pilot in the world today.

Michael’s Castrol Aviator Extra 330SC tumbles, flips, skids, and twists in such complex combinations that most spectators just watch in amazement.

As a member of three US World Aerobatic Teams and a past US National Aerobatic Champion, Michael maneuvers his show stopping Castrol Aviator Extra 330SC with the characteristic precision demanded of world level flying. His attention to precision and excellence have made him a world renowned Aerobatic Pilot for over a decade. Michael’s display is accompanied by a high tech choreographed music system (same as the US Thunderbirds), which punctuates the emotion and intensity that is a Mike Goulian performance.

With Michael Goulian, the sky is NEVER the limit!
