As you can see by the attached photos, the guys in the shop are doing an amazing amount of work in a very short time to get our EDGE 540 “on the pace” for San Diego. In addition to removal of the wing cuffs, the guys are going all out to make a lighter weight version of our cowling. The current cowling is an aerodynamic thing of beauty but is pretty heavy as it is built upon the original cowling. This new cowl will be made from a mold which you can see being made in the photos.

All of this work will hopefully mean that our race plane will show up in San Diego approximately 15 pounds lighter than it was in Abu Dhabi. Boys, “thanks so much for the effort”. We are getting psyched for sure.
