The 2009 race season has ended in Barcelona with a 10th position in the final standings. It was a disappointing finish for Team 99 in Spain. Unfortunately Michael pulled too many G’s in the first Quatro and grayed out. He was able to release pressure on the stick to lighten the G load resulting in a pylon hit, which cost him 6 seconds. “Without our pylon hit we would have had the 5th fastest time in the Top 12 round” said Michael who is keeping positive and looking toward next year’s season. From the fantastic results of the practice races during the week Michael has grown increasingly more confident in his aircraft and feels that it is an aircraft with the ability to lead him to many victories in the future. For next year he plans on fine tuning his flying and working specifically on the areas that held him back in the races this year.
