Things were going quite as planned today in the Top 12 round in Perth until I clipped a gate with the last 3 inches of my right wingtip. It’s a pretty hard pill to swallow as my time would have put me comfortably in the Super 8 round.

We hope our new race engine will give us the added performance we’re looking for to give us a little more comfort on the track. With this current engine, we’ve been pushing very hard to get the plane even close to the top of the time sheets.

Hopefully, the race in Rio will start us on a path of more consistent top place finishes.
