With the Red Bull Air Race in Perth, Australia, now just a piece of racing history, time is ticking as Mike Goulian Aerosports is already busy readying the #99 Edge 540 for the 2009 season. The first week of the new year brought the arrival of the plane in great shape. In addition to a new Lycoming Thunderbolt IO-540 engine, the #99 race team has a long list of fine tuning to make the plane faster and more nimble.

Our goal is to have a very competitive plane for next year. It sounds easy but we have failed to accomplish this the past two seasons. In order to be in position to win races, you need to be in a great machine. We hope that our mods take the #99 Edge 540 to a much higher level for 2009.
