Well, after finishing the Jacksonville Beach Sea & Sky Spectacular this past weekend, 2009 is officially in the history books!! JAX put on a wonderful event and it was a great way to end the season flying along side so many of our friends. Tucker, Chapman, Klatt, Soucy, Rob, Snort, Dawg, Hak, and the Blues all made for an awesome “end of season bash” over the Jacksonville Beach.

I am so proud of our team because this was not the easiest of seasons for MGAS. Tim and Brad spent almost all of last winter away from their families working on the #99 EDGE 540 preparing it for the RBAR. After we had less than stellar results in our first couple of races, they worked even harder at reducing weight from the plane and installing a new and more powerful Lycoming Thunderbolt engine just prior to Windsor. The result was a win in Budapest.

Matt and Karin worked very hard at our air shows. Matt flew almost 200 hours in our Cessna 182 support plane this summer. We carry a lot of spares and PR materials in the 182 so it’s a lot of work to get all that stuff around the country safely.

The Goulian Team works relentlessly so we can put our best foot forward at our races and shows. Even though we’re pretty tired after nine continuous months of being “on the road”, I know we’ll be ready for a bigger and better 2010.

Thanks for coming along for the ride!!!!

Michael
