The High Sierra Fly-In was quite the event. The Whelen Aerospace Technologies (WAT) Carbon Cub was “in the mix” on race day, but the racing was only part of it.

The people and the spirit of adventure and aviation permeates the air. General Aviation enthusiasts come from all walks of life and that was evident from the people at Dead Cow Lake. STOL Drag racing is a blast for pilots and spectators alike.

It was such an honor to experience and learn more about this style of flying in such a unique part of our country. We look forward to more of it in the future!
