Last week I was able to spend some serious training time in the newly re-branded ASB.TV EXTRA 330. Our ferry pilot, David Kicklighter moved the plane from Boston to its winter home in St. Augustine, FL while I was away in Abu Dhabi.

St. Augustine (KSGJ) is probably the “hub” of aerobatics on the East Coast of the USA in the winter months. Our friends from Southeast Aero Services are based there and allow us to use their amazing facilities as our home away from home each winter. Big thanks to Kramer, David, and Doug for making us feel so welcome. SGJ is also the home of Patty Wagstaff, Dale Snodgrass, Carl Pascarell, and CC Gerner among others. Needless to say, it’s an inspiring place to fly.

The weather was beautiful for our training and we are working on some new twists for the 2010 show. Rob Reider and I will work on new narration and music for our show in the next few weeks.

Take a look at the short video we made while we were down there. The plane looks stunning in its new ASB.TV colors. Oxford Aviation did an amazing job on our paint which is evident in the video. Hope you all like it and I can’t wait to start our 2010 air show campaign in Cherry Point, NC this May.
