Swiss watchmaking pioneer is the new official Team Partner for Massachusetts-based pilot Michael Goulian and his team in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship

Chiba, Japan – In its latest collaboration with champion aviator Michael Goulian, Geneva-based Alpina Watches has forged a new partnership with Team Goulian in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. The relationship will premiere at the third stop of the 2017 season in Chiba, Japan, June 3-4.

The expanded partnership complements an existing ambassadorship collaboration with Goulian, who in addition to competing in the Red Bull Air Race, is a world renowned air show demonstration pilot. His trademark athletic, approach to flying has made him a global fan favorite during his landmark career.

Founded in 1883, and renowned for inventing the Swiss sport watch, Alpina is a true pioneer of the Swiss watchmaking industry. Aviation has been part of the brand’s DNA for almost a century. Alpina’s mission to design and engineer luxury sport watches that operate with the greatest precision and reliability possible in the most demanding sporting environments meshes perfectly with Team Goulian’s quest for consistent precision and performance in a high-speed, low-altitude sport where pilots navigate aerial racetracks at speeds of 370kph/230mph with forces up to 10 G.

Alpina’s presence will continue in support of Team Goulian as the pilot flies for World Championship points at the remaining stops of the season: Budapest (HUN), Kazan (RUS), Porto (POR), Lausitz (GER), and Indianapolis (USA).
