The qualifying round of the Abu Dhabi installment of the 2015 Red Bull Air Race challenged all of the competitors with high temperatures and shifting winds. A record number of pylon hits were recorded as the pilots fought to maintain their lines through the course. With only one shot at posting a fast time, the pressure was on for all. Michael Goulian posted a time worthy of a 7th place finish despite being hindered by a clogged fuel injector nozzle; reducing his available horsepower to that of a 5 cylinder engine.
