Our weeklong event in Lakeland gave us some great memories that we’d like to share. Not only do we have the greatest partners in the world that all made their mark at Sun’ n Fun, but Michael also had a chance to debut his new air show routine and music. Watch part of Michael’s Friday performance from inside the cockpit to get a glimpse of what it feels like.

From Cannes we remember some great times at SUN ‘n FUN Fly-In & Expo in Lakeland. These are a few of the last figures I fly in my show. ENJOY!

Michael was honored to receive Sun ‘n Fun’s 2018 Path of Fame Award on Saturday afternoon. Sun ‘n Fun President and CEO, John “Lites” Leenhouts, explained that this prestigious award is only given to those who volunteer their efforts to generate interest and funds to create a flight path of success and build a brighter future for men and women in the aviation industry. Michael flew his first air show at Sun ‘n Fun in 1990, so he’s been giving back to the aviation community in Lakeland for almost three decades.

You can watch Michael’s Flight Line Stage interview here, starting at 37:50 minutes.

This year our Whelen Demo Center area on the warbird ramp was a hub of activity as we were surrounded by two of our other partners, Cirrus Aircraft and Alpina Watches.

We also welcomed the newest addition to our partner family, Best Tugs. Best Tugs President, Mark Patey, presented Michael with his new tug, with a special Goulian design and tricked-out one-of-a-kind smoke system. Best Tugs has revolutionized the industry of moving an aircraft with unparalleled precision and safety.

Michael had a chance to sit with BOSE specialist Sean Siff to demo their just-launched ProFlight Aviation Headset. This new earbud-style active noise reduction headset uses a headband without ear cups which lowers the weight to only 4.9 ounces. Michael can’t wait to try this in a Cirrus Vision Jet style environment!
